Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 Ruined Goku & Gohan’s Relationship

Goku being a bad dad is one of the most common talking points in the Dragon Ball fandom, but it doesn’t exacty hold up under scrunity if you’re looking at the original manga or even the Dragon Ball Z anime. While it’s true that Goku is somewhat absent in Gohan and Goten’s lives, it’s never without good reason. With the exception of when he’s training on Yardrat, the only time Goku is not in his sons’ lives in Dragon Ball‘s original run is when he is literally dead.

By all accounts, Goku is a present father who clealry makes an effort when he can. He even raised Gohan in the five-year gap between Dragon Ball and DBZ! Or at least he did until Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 revealed otherwise. Make no mistake, while “bad dad” Goku doesn’t apply to Dragon Ball Z, it absolutely does to every iteration of modern Dragon Ball – from Super making it so Goku missed Gohan & Goten’s births to DAIMA revealing that Goku was indeed an absent father who was not involved with raising Gohan. Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 is nothing short of character assassination, undermining Goku and Gohan’s incredible bond throughout DBZ for a cheap laugh.

Goku Confirms Once & For All He Did Not Raise Gohan

It’s one thing for Goku to miss Goten’s birth and most of his early life (he was dead, after all), but it’s another matter entirely to make it so he also did not raise Gohan. In Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7, Panzy is once again annoyed at Goku’s immaturity. She remarks her disbelief that Goku actually raised his own children, to which Goku responds, “I wasn’t really involved.” This is a heartbreaking answer, to be completely honest. Worse, it’s doubling down on one of Dragon Ball Super‘s worst confirmations: that Goku wasn’t around for Gohan’s birth (and potentially Chi-Chi’s entire pregnancy).

Part of why the five-year gap between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z works is that it subtly ties back into the series’ core theme of someone always being better than you. At the end of Dragon Ball, Goku becomes the “Strongest Under the Heavens.” For the next five years, he coasts at the top of the totem pole with his family before Raditz arrives and reminds him that he cannot settle down. The fact Goku settles down is an important detail at the start of his arc in Dragon Ball Z. DAIMA has effectively killed that thematic tissue, while also causing even more issues.

All The Evidence in Dragon Ball Z Suggests Goku & Chi-Chi Raised Gohan Together

It’s important to acknowledge that Goku being a bad dad in canon is a purely modern invention. Everything in both Akira Toriyama’s original manga and Toei’s anime implies that Goku was an active father. Getting the obvious out of the way, Dragon Ball Z begins with Goku taking Gohan out on a day trip to introduce him to his friends – that is not something a distant father does. In both the anime and the manga, Goku mentions that they go to sleep early at their place and that Chi-Chi doesn’t allow him to train Gohan. Realistically, the family spends almost all of their time together at home.

In the anime, Dragon Ball Z begins with a filler episode to establish Gohan before Raditz, reintroduce Goku as a father earlier, and show off what Goku’s domestic life is like. During the day, Goku and Gohan go on little adventures in the mountains behind their home, spending time together. While Goku does mention that he’s been “training hard” since the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, the fact he doesn’t develop any new techniques, strategies, or abilities in five years strongly suggests he was living a more docile lifestyle during Gohan’s youth.

Proyek film live action Naruto disebutkan akan lebih banyak fokus pada sang karakter daripada dunia yang ada di sekitarnya. Seolah ingin melanjutka tren untuk menghadirkan adaptasi versi live action dari berbagai judul anime populer. Pada Februari kemarin rumah produksi Lionsgate dikabarkan sudah menyelesaikan kesepakatan dengan sutradara film Shang-Chi the Legend of the ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton.

Mereka sepakat untuk menghadirkan proyek film adaptasi live action dari series populer Naruto. Selain kabar itu, sebelumnya belum banyak informasi yang kita ketahui mengenai proyek film tersebut. Namun, kabar terbaru kemudian menyebutkan bahwa proyek film live action Naruto tersebut akan lebih fokus pada sang karakter. Filmnya tidak akan terlalu banyak mengeksplor tentang dunia Naruto yang sangat luas. Kabar ini muncul dalam wawancara sang penulis film, Tasha Huo, dengan Entertainment Weekly.

Menurut Huo, naskah untuk filmnya sudah selesai dan sang sutradara sedang melakukan tugasnya. Berkaitan dengan ceritanya, Tasha Huo kemudian menjelaskan bahwa dia sangat memuji bagaimana Destin Daniel Cretton membungkus filmnya. Dia merasa bahwa film ini akan menjadi sangat dekat dan relate dengan para penonton.

“Aku pikir itu merupakan sebuah pilihan yang sangat luas biasa karena dia akan mampu menangkan seberapa unik dan spesial sosok Naruto tanpa perlu terganggu oleh seberapa besar dunia di sekitarnya yang mana aku pikir hal itu bisa saja dengan mudah dilakukan oleh seorang yang memang bukan fan atau seseorang yang hanya datang untuk uang. Ini benar-benar akan menjadi sebuah film yang dihadirkan dari rasa cinta tentang siapa sosok Naruto sebenarnya dan karakternya serta hubungannya.”

Dalam beberapa tahun belakangan, adaptasi live action anime cukup banyak dinikmati oleh berbagai pihak di Hollywood. Hal ini pasca dua proyek sebelumnya, series live action One Piece dan Yu Yu Hakusho, yang tayang di platform Netflix dianggap berhasil. Dua series tersebut berhasil mematahkan mimpi buruk dari adaptasi live action anime dengan berhasil meraih kesuksesan besar.

Jakarta – Naruto is a manga series by Masashi Kishimoto which was adapted into an anime series. This series tells the journey of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja with a dream of becoming Hokage or leader of a ninja village. This anime presents a strong mix of action, adventure, humor and friendship.

Quoting from repository.untag-sby.ac.id, the Naruto manga was first published in Japan by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd edition of Shonen Jump magazine. In Indonesia, this manga is published by Elex Media Komputindo.

Meanwhile, the Naruto anime series was broadcast for the first time in Japan by TV Tokyo and Animax on October 3 2002. The plot of the Naruto series is told over the first 238 chapters of the manga and 220 episodes of the Naruto anime.

The first series consisted of 9 seasons and lasted 220 episodes. The first season of the second series began airing on February 15, 2007. Or what is often known as Naruto: Shippden.

Summarizing from Fandom, the Naruto series begins when the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon attacks Konohagakure or the country of Konoha . He destroyed villages and killed many people. At that time, the Fourth Hokage as the village leader sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails in a newborn baby, namely Naruto Uzumaki.

Twelve years later, the story shows the students at the Academy divided into three teams. Each team is assigned an experienced sensei. Likewise, Naruto was placed on team 7 with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno under an experienced sensei named Kakashi Hatake.

Naruto grew up as an orphan in a lonely atmosphere without friends, family, or recognition. However, everything changed after Naruto graduated from the Academy by using the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique to save his teacher, Iruka Umino, from the rebel ninja Mizuki.

The first part of Naruto also tells several stories, such as the Chnin exam, Naruto stealing the Scroll of Seals, and the introduction of the characters of the Nine Rookies and Orochimaru. Then it shows Orochimaru trying to destroy Konohagakure, the search for Tsunade, and the competition to recruit Tsunade.

Including showing efforts to stop Sasuke Uchiha from escaping to Orochimaru. As well as telling how Kakashi Hatake got his Sharingan.

Meanwhile, the Naruto: Shippuden series tells the story of the main character Uzumaki Naruto and his friends who have grown up. The series begins when Naruto returns after two years of training with his teacher, Jiraiya, a Sannin legend from Konohagakure.

This second part shows the adventures of Naruto and Haruno Sakura on a mission to find Sasuke, who is their teammate. Not only that, here we show the Akatsuki organization hunting Jinchuriki. Then it tells the story of Jiraiya’s killing on a mission to collect information about Pain, who was a member of Akatsuki.

The story continues when Naruto manages to master the power of the sennin and wins the battle against Pain. At the same time that Naruto became a hero for his village, Akatsuki managed to collect seven of the Nine Jinchuuriki.

As a result, Naruto trains hard with the help of Killer Bee so he can master the power of the Bijuu in his body like Bee to be able to defeat them.

In the first part of the Naruto series, Masashi Kishimoto only featured the characters Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who were members of Team 7 However. Then other characters emerged such as Kakashi, Guy, Jiraiya, and Naruto’s colleagues on his Genin team.
