The long-awaited return of Dragon Ball didn’t disappoint with its explosive Episode 1 premiere of Dragon Ball Daima. However, an unforgettable moment in the series premiere might have been teased in an underrated anime series from the spring 2024 season.

As pointed out by Dragon Ball animation enthusiast AnimeAjay (@/AnimeAjay), the key animation of Vegeta sacrificing himself to destroy Majin Buu in the Dragon Ball Z recap scene in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1 was handled by Shun Sawai. Sawai has worked on numerous projects, such as Oshi no Ko, Lupin the Third: Part 5 and Bocchi the Rock!. However, he’s also worked on the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie as a digital key animator and is a big fan of the franchise itself — so much so that he made an additional social media account dedicated to Dragon Ball fan art. Before the release of Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1, Sawai worked on another anime series that premiered during the spring 2024 season that parodied one of the most famous scenes in Dragon Ball history.

The Dragon Ball parody comes from Episode 3 of Oblivion Battery. Brilliant first-year student and baseball catcher Kei Kaname undergoes a Super Saiyan-like transformation that plays out almost exactly like Goku’s Super Saiyan awakening in the “Frieza” saga of Dragon Ball Z. However, Oblivion Battery doesn’t just parody Super Saiyan Goku but Super Saiyan Vegeta as well, as Kei’s transformation ends with a gigantic explosion of energy, just like the scene of Vegeta sacrificing himself to defeat Majin Buu that Sawai worked on in Dragon Ball Daima.

Oblivion Battery is based on the Shonen Jump+ online series by Eko Mikawa. It revolves around Taro Yamada, a student and former baseball player who quits the sport after being humiliated by two genius batteries (a pitcher and a catcher in baseball), Haruka Kiyomine and Kei Kaname. However, after transferring to a school with no baseball club, Taro is reunited with Haruka and the now amnesia-ridden Kei, who no longer remembers how to play baseball. As Taro helps Kei regain his memory by playing baseball with him and Haruka, he slowly regains his passion for the sport. Oblivion Battery ran for 12 episodes from April 10, 2024, to July 3, 2024, and was animated by Jujutsu Kaisen studio MAPPA.

Amusingly, Oblivion Battery isn’t the only anime that has referenced Dragon Ball this year. Episode 3 of The Elusive Samurai featured a cheeky reference to Goku with a religious-like character with his own version of the Spirit Bomb. Like Oblivion Battery, The Elusive Samurai is a Shonen Jump series by Assassination Classroom author Yusei Matsui. Dragon Ball Daima, Oblivion Battery and The Elusive Samurai are all available to stream on Crunchyroll. Dragon Ball DAIMA’s first two episodes were some of the most amazing moments in anime history, as they totally redefined the Dragon Ball franchise by adding several new concepts, changing what fans knew about several popular characters, and taking the Dragon Ball franchise in a unique new direction. But one of the most fascinating parts of Dragon Ball DAIMA was how it reintroduced the idea of hunting for the Dragon Balls, giving them the magical aura they’ve lacked for many years.

The Dragon Balls were introduced in the first episode of the Dragon Ball anime and the first manga chapter. Goku and Bulma first meet when Bulma’s Dragon Radar picks up the Four Star Dragon Ball that Goku’s grandfather left him. Bulma explains to Goku that whoever can gather all seven Dragon Balls can summon Shenron and make a wish for whatever their heart desires. Eventually, after much bickering, Goku decides to join Bulma on her quest, and the pair set out to find all the Dragon Balls.

The Early Dragon Ball Hunts

In Early Sagas, Finding The Dragon Balls Was The Main Focus

This hunt is the focus of Dragon Ball’s first saga, the Emperor Pilaf Saga. While trying to recover the balls, Goku and Bulma encounter many characters who would become Dragon Ball mainstays, including Yamcha, Oolong, and Master Roshi. They would also learn that they were not the only people who wanted the Dragon Balls, leading to them clashing with the evil Emperor Pilaf. The saga ends with Emperor Pilaf collecting all the balls and using them to summon Shenron. However, before Pilaf can wish for world domination, Oolong interrupts and wishes for a pair of comfortable panties. Despite Pilaf’s protests, Shenron grants this wish before the balls return to stone and are scattered around the world again.

The Dragon Balls would again become the focus during the show’s third saga, the Red Ribbon Army Saga. During this saga, Goku embarks on a quest to recover Grandpa Gohan’s Four Star Dragon Ball, only to learn that the evil Red Ribbon Army was trying to collect all the balls so their leader, Commander Red, could make a wish. This leads to Goku traveling the globe, battling several of Red Ribbon’s generals as he does. But, when Bora dies defending Goku and Upa from Mercenary Tao, Goku vows to collect all the Dragon Balls and wish the man back to life, driving him to search for the balls even more intensely.

However, the fourth wish on the Dragon Balls was the one that dramatically changed the status quo. Made during Dragon Ball’s final saga, the Piccolo Jr. Saga, Yamcha wishes for every being killed by King Piccolo and his sons to be resurrected. While this wish was a massive and memorable moment that made perfect sense in the context of the arc, it represented the Dragon Balls shifting from magical relics that had to be chased to world reset buttons and a glorified taxi service.

While Star Trek: Lower Decks will end soon, showrunner Mike McMahan isn’t fully closing the door on the USS Cerritos crew’s adventures.

“You do get to see everybody grow up in Season 5,” McMahan told Variety at San Diego Comic-Con regarding the future of Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, Sam Rutherford, and D’Vana Tendi and how their stories might continue post-cancelation. As he saw it, “There isn’t a natural end to being Lower Decks because I feel like I am still learning stuff all the time. So yes, the characters do go through a change this season, but ultimately where we end, you don’t feel like they aren’t still Lower Decks and that we couldn’t keep telling those kinds of stories.”

An official trailer for Lower Decks‘ final season premiered at Comic-Con, initially parodying Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country‘s teaser before previewing the Cerritos discovering interdimensional portals, angering Klingons, and getting into even more Starfleet hijinks. Continuing the show’s embrace of classic Trek references, McMahan also teased this season including “a piece of a legacy character, and Noël’s character, Tendi, gets to spend a lot of time with them.”

Season 5’s Central Arc Teased

He also tied Season 5’s central arc to “these space potholes that the U.S.S Cerritos is closing that are these rifts in space. We had been given enough of a heads up that this could potentially be our final season, and so I suddenly opened up the cupboard of ideas and was like, ‘Alright, what are some mechanics to get all sorts of crazy things to happen in this season?'”

Season 4 not only saw Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford promoted aboard the Cerritos, but reintroduced Season 2 Vulcan character T’Lyn as a new member of the ship. Its overarching storyline also tied Lower Decks to past Trek events, revealing the supposed destruction of vehicles across the galaxy to be part of a scheme by Star Trek: The Next Generation ex-cadet Nick Locarno to build a rogue fleet under his command. The season ended with the Cerritos crew triumphant but, due to a deal with Tendi’s family, she returned to Orion rather than remain with Starfleet. Additionally, Lower Decks made a live-action crossover with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last year, while the Cerritos was recently namedropped on an episode of Star Trek: Prodigy.

Other Trek news announced at San Diego Comic-Con included an official Strange New Worlds Season 4 clip and a trailer for the spinoff movie Star Trek: Section 31. Additionally, multiple actors were confirmed for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, including a returning Robert Picardo as Star Trek: Voyager‘s Doctor.

In the lore of the series, SSJ2 is supposed to be a 100x multiplier of Goku’s base strength, which is a significant jump from the original Super Saiyan. Yet, despite these perks, Goku still seems to bypass Super Saiyan 2 for other transformations. And that’s a tragedy, especially since it’s arguably his best-looking form.

One reason Goku skips Super Saiyan 2 is the infamous Dragon Ball power creep. As the series went on, the stakes got higher, the enemies got stronger and the power-ups needed to match that. Even once Super Saiyan 3 and its beefed-up power level came into play during the Buu Saga, Goku started to skip right over SSJ2. By the time Dragon Ball Super rolled around, transformations like Super Saiyan Blue and Ultra Instinct entered the fray, making SSJ2 seem a bit outdated. Super Saiyan Blue, for example, combines the raw power of Super Saiyan with the divine energy of god ki.

Ultra Instinct, meanwhile, isn’t just a transformation—it’s a state of mind where Goku moves without thinking, dodging attacks like a cosmic ninja. With these god-tier transformations available, why would Goku bother with something like SSJ2? The answer seems to be that he just doesn’t need it anymore. In terms of power scaling, SSJ2 just isn’t cutting it anymore in the grand cosmic battles that Goku is facing in Super. Against foes like Jiren or even Beerus, the God of Destruction, SSJ2 just can’t compete with the likes of Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Instinct when it comes to taking on universal-level threats. For Goku, who’s always looking for the next challenge, it is simply a stepping stone and is too weak to be of any real use in the higher-tier battles of Dragon Ball Super.

He’s far more directly tied to matters in Demon Realm than Goku, all the series’ biggest questions currently surround him, he’s featured prominently in the anime’s opening and ending credits, and it wouldn’t be the first time Goku wasn’t the star.

Glorio Makes a Powerful First Impression in Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 2

Glorio Only Becomes More intriguing After He Introduces Himself

Glorio first appears in Dragon Ball DAIMA’s first episode, “Conspiracy.” However, he’s only seen briefly as he spies on Gomah, Degesu, and Dr. Arinsu while they scheme against the Dragon Team. It isn’t until the final minutes of Episode 2, “Glorio,” that he’s properly introduced. Arriving on Earth in his plane, Glorio introduces himself to Goku, Shin, and the rest of the Z-Warriors.

After briefly bickering with Bulma about whether his ship is a plane or a spaceship, he explains that he’s a follower of the King of the Third Demon World. Having watched the footage of Goku destroying Kid Buu, he requests Goku’s help in killing Gomah. As Gomah is already Goku’s target, and Glorio has a method of getting Goku to Demon Realm eight days ahead of schedule, the de-aged Saiyan agrees to work with him. However, before the three depart together, Shin wants Goku to be wary of Glorio, fearing the reputation of the King of the Third Demon World.

Glorio is also a major presence in DAIMA’s opening and ending credits. Both of these beautiful sequences primarily feature Goku and the rest of the series’ main cast, including Shin, Vegeta, Piccolo, Bulma, Panzy, and, Glorio. What’s most interesting about these sequences is the way Glorio is second only to Goku in terms of prominence, the anime prioritizing him over three of the franchise’s most iconic heroes in the process.

By virtue of being the only protagonist with normal proportions, he stands out in every shot he’s in, and several group shots are deliberately framed to draw the audience’s eyes to him. The two most potentially important shots he’s in are found in the ending credits, with him brooding while sitting opposite Goku underneath a gorgeous sunset in one, and lying awake while the rest of the new Dragon Team sleeps at night in another. This certainly seems to suggest that Glorio will be following in the footsteps of Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, and Vegeta, and that he’ll be acting as Goku’s main foil in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Dragon Ball is Rarely About Goku

Goku Hasn’t Been the Lone Star of Dragon Ball Since the Original Series

The original Dragon Ball, spanning from the Pilaf Saga to the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament Arc, is Goku’s story, and no one else’s. At best, the second most important characters in each of these arcs play roles nearly as large as Goku’s. The story rarely abandons Goku’s perspective, to the point that, in the manga, he isn’t absent in a single one of these chapters. The first chapter of the Saiyan Saga also being the first chapter Goku is absent from sets the tone for the rest of Dragon Ball Z.

Goku may be synonymous with Dragon Ball Z, but he is only the third most important character in the series as a whole. For nearly the entirety of Z, Gohan and Vegeta are the characters who drive the story, and they receive more development than every other character in the show, Goku included. The Saiyan Saga uses Gohan as its main POV character, while Vegeta is the central antagonist, and the Frieza Saga is all about the two trying to outwit each other, and Frieza, and survive on Namek. Goku’s only role in the Saiyan and Frieza Sagas, meanwhile, is to be the hero who shows up at the end to defeat the main villain. Goku fails to even fulfill this role in the Cell Saga, as he surrenders against Perfect Cell and passes the torch to Gohan. The Buu Saga’s messy plot can hardly be said to have a main character at all but, if it does have one, it’s the man with ties to every corner of the plot, and who ultimately saves the world: Mr. Satan.

This trend continues into Dragon Ball Super. Goku is the main character of the main character of the Battle of Gods Saga, but this can be attributed to the film it’s adapting not originally being meant as a full revival for the franchise. The Resurrection ‘F’ Arc is subsequently all about Frieza and, once the story advances into original territory, Vegeta receives the majority of the focus in the Universe 6 Arc.

Future Trunks is then the main hero of his eponymous arc, and Frieza is, once again, at the heart of the Universal Survival Arc’s story. Even among the Super manga and films, Merus and Granolah are more important than Goku in the Galaxy Patrol Prisoner Saga and Granolah the Survivor Saga, respectively. Similarly, Broly and Gohan are the main characters of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Goku in Super isn’t even able to typically fulfill his role as the world’s savior, with him failing to defeat nearly every main antagonist in the series.

Glorio is the Main Character Dragon Ball DAIMA Needs

Glorio Can Add Drama to DAIMA in a Way That Goku Cannot

Goku has a strange relationship with the stories he’s the star of. Even in arcs where he’s undeniably the central focus, he’s almost never the character with the most personal investment in the conflict he’s involved in. Goku only initially fought the Red Ribbon Army because they were both searching for the Dragon Balls, with his ignorance over who they were extending to the point he never even learned of Commander Red’s existence. In the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament Arc, Goku acts merely as a catalyst for Tien’s character development, and Goku’s rivalries with King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr. in the following arcs only form because the former kills his friends, not because of any history between them or pre-established relationship.

While Goku simply isn’t the time to develop personal investment in most of his enemies, every serious arc of the franchise features a character who’s able to carry the emotional weight of the story in his place. The events of the King Piccolo Arc only mean anything because of Master Roshi’s investment in stopping King Piccolo, and his belief that Goku has surpassed him, while viewers only become so invested in seeing Frieza fall during the Frieza Saga because of everything he’s done to Vegeta. Goku will undoubtedly be the one to fight all the major villains in Dragon Ball DAIMA, but Glorio makes perfect sense as the character to fulfill this role.

While Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Bulma are only going to Demon Realm to save Bulma and defeat Gomah, this alternate dimension means significantly more to Glorio, Panzy, and Shin. And while Panzy is yet to be introduced into the series proper, Shin, in spite of his familial relationship with two of the anime’s main villains, is too much of a known entity by fans to be the one who drives DAIMA’s story. Glorio, meanwhile, is a serious figure wrapped in intrigue.

Demon Realm is the only home he’s ever known, but his thoughts on it are unclear, and he’s a servant of the seemingly terrifying King of the Third Demon World, but fans don’t know anything about him, or if Glorio even follows him willingly. His abilities outside his skills as a marksman and a pilot are also complete unknowns. With all the potential Glorio has, and all the clear importance his relationship with Goku will have to Dragon Ball DAIMA’s story, it seems all too likely he will be the real main character of the series.

If Dragon Ball DAIMA has any lasting influence on the franchise moving forward, it’ll be Glorio. With the series looking more and more like it’ll be his story, it would be absurd for him to simply be abandoned. Fans will have to keep watching DAIMA to see exactly what kind of role he plays, and how his relationship with Goku progresses.

Yu Yu Hakusho‘s Hiei comes to life once more in a breathtaking new sculpture from Kotobukiya. The updated figure is being released internationally — great news for fans of the Yoshihiro Togashi-created franchise.

Per retailers such as BigBadToyStore, acclaimed action figure and toy developer Kotobukiya has officially released its new “Yu Yu Hakusho ArtFX J Hiei 1/8 (Version 2) Scale Figure.” The statue stands at 9.65 inches tall and is the latest addition to Kotobukiya’s acclaimed Art J line of non-articulated anime figurines. The sculpture features Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho‘s “Dark Tournament Saga” and sees the diminutive demon calling upon his powerful Dragon of the Darkness Flame technique in the heat of battle.

Created by Yoshihiro Togashi (also well-known for Hunter x Hunter) and published by Shueisha, the original Yu Yu Hakusho manga debuted in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in December 1990 and quickly amassed a dedicated fan base. The series follows teenage protagonist Yusuke Urameshi after he loses his life while saving that of a stranger and then journeys through the Underworld. There, Yusuke is put through a series of tests to determine whether he is worthy of returning to life, after which he becomes a bonafide supernatural investigator of his own. The series consists of four main arcs, beginning with the “Spirit Detective Saga,” followed by the fan-favorite “Dark Tournament Saga,” and closing out with the “Chapter Black” and “Three Kings” sagas.

The character Hiei, voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama in the original anime and Chuck Huber in the English dub, is introduced as one of the main antagonists of Yu Yu Hakusho‘s opening story arc before later joining forces with Yusuke and finding a place for himself among the series’ leading cast. A powerful demon, Hiei is portrayed as a distant, often aloof figure, which only serves to hide the roiling whirlpool that exists just beneath his cool, calm demeanor.

In January, Togashi shared a beautiful homage to one of the series’ early illustrations with fans through his official social media accounts. The image, which recreates the cover of the manga’s Volume 1 cover art from 1991, features Yusuke’s closest friend and eventual love interest Keiko Yukimura standing in the center of the frame in her classic look. This shot of Keiko is set against the backdrop of a larger image of Yusuke looking over his shoulder back at her. Togashi shared the piece with the caption: “I overslept. I had a really good dream.”

Fashionable Anime Fans Can Return to the ’90s With Yu Yu Hakusho Clothing Collaboration

The new “#Let’sGoWithVintageClothes × Yu☆Yu☆Hakusho” event is a unique way to get consumers to see second-hand clothing as first-rate must-buys. The campaign is being held by Japanese retailer Furugi de Ikoka, which is open 24 hours a day and is completely unmanned. It’s now in its “Eve Festival,” which will run until the end of October, with the main festival lasting from November until Dec. 1. The goal is to promote the second-hand clothing brand and get people to see the value in a recycled remix for their wardrobes. Furthering this nostalgic fashion sense is none other than the 1990s hit Yu Yu Hakusho.

In celebration and to showcase the Yu Yu Hakusho-themed marketing, a special illustration has been made for the clothing store. This picture depicts the cast of the anime walking in front of Furugi de Ikoka while wearing street clothes similar to what can be found there. Interestingly enough, protagonist Yusuke is seen with “normal” hair instead of the street delinquent pompadour that he usually sports. The clothing brand is also hosting a social media giveaway, with a lottery being held on the company’s X (formerly Twitter) account to give lucky participants their own acrylic board of the image. A total of 1,000 people will be chosen, meaning fans should hurry before the event (called a “major campaign”) ends at the conclusion of the month. There will also be further campaigns and events announced as the weeks transpire.

Even though the classic anime and manga have been over for years at this point, Yu Yu Hakusho continues to be an iconic franchise. Being a protagonist is something of a thankless title. Shōnen anime protagonists go through a lot of trauma to get that level of world-ending power that the climaxes of their series are designed to show off. The slow and steady build of character development is not an easy street for many of them and sacrifices are often made. Of course, most of that corresponds to the modern shōnen protagonist — the ones that came as a result of the Naruto generation changing the game as it evolved from its predecessors. While there have been a lot of changes, most of the road map came from Dragon Ball and the ever-influential Son Goku.

Goku has been through a lot as a protagonist. From his young and wild years finding Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball with Bulma to fighting literal gods for the sake of a good time in Dragon Ball Super, Goku has been on an incredible journey. He is the man who informed the template of the modern shōnen protagonist and the anime community owes a lot to Akira Toriyama because of it. However, Goku has been around for a long time, and he is not always the best narrative option to be in the spotlight. In fact, Dragon Ball Super should have been Vegeta’s time to shine.

Dragon Ball Super Really Could Have Easily Shifted To Vegeta, He Earned It

Vegeta is a special case for anime rivals. Much like how Goku is the cloth from which anime protagonists have been cut, Vegeta is the character from which rivals are stitched. He shows up on the scene initially in Dragon Ball Z, as a major antagonist who arrives on Earth to collect the Dragon Balls for his own nefarious purposes. It is the moment that shifts the entire course of the series and Vegeta is only spared because of Goku’s desire to have a strong opponent. This is a move he pulled on Piccolo earlier and, much like with Piccolo, this moment puts Vegeta on the path to character growth.

Much like how Dragon Ball was about Goku growing as a person, Dragon Ball Z dedicated a lot of time to developing Vegeta. Vegeta’s next major appearance on Namek doesn’t show him to be a better person at all. He effectively becomes the villain protagonist of the arc alongside the heroic protagonists Krillin and Gohan. He is definitely no hero — more an ally of necessity than anything else. He would go on to die and be resurrected, being shown that the Super Saiyan of legend was truly achievable. The Cell Saga would see Vegeta become a father, but even that did very little to change his attitude. Watching Trunks die was one of the first times the audience saw Vegeta regret his actions; these experiences would be what allowed him to become an actual hero during the Buu Saga.

Vegeta is an incredibly interesting example of how Dragon Ball as a franchise holds onto the idea that people can grow and become better if they put in the work. He and Goku both act as the physical embodiment of what determination can do, which is part of what makes him such a needed character for the franchise. Goku has had a few rivals, but he’s had very few literary foils that could work so perfectly with him to establish a throughline that was easily reflected in so many characters.

Vegeta’s arc throughout Dragon Ball Z was one of intense change, going from a planet destroyer to a family man with something to protect. This wasn’t just major growth for Vegeta; this was a seismic shift in his entire internal world. Dragon Ball Z is just as much about Vegeta as it is about Goku and Gohan. Unlike Piccolo, however, Vegeta’s Saiyan pride keeps things a little more volatile. Piccolo is, frankly, more mature than any of the Saiyans, and that little spark of wildness in Vegeta isn’t completely dimmed by the end of the Buu Saga. Vegeta really had only just entered his hero arc at the end of the series, which opened up a lot of opportunities for Dragon Ball Super to play with it. It almost seemed natural to pass the torch to Vegeta to carry the next series, and it probably would have saved a lot of strife in the future.

What Is the Significance of “Sannin” in the Naruto Universe?

The word “Sannin” means “three ninjas”, which was a name given to them by Hanzo of the Salamander during the Second Great Ninja War as they survived a difficult battle against him. The status of being the legendary Sannins solidified their position of being icons in Konoha and beyond, marking them as legends for future generations.

Who Were the Sannin in Naruto: Shippuden?

The Legendary Three Ninjas were hailed as the greatest ninjas of their time in the Hidden Leaf Village. The members were taught under the tutelage of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Despite working together as a team during their training, the three often quarreled greatly with each other, resulting in what Tsunade would call a “three-way deadlock”. This led to the trio going their separate ways after their training was completed, although they did join forces once more during the Second Shinobi World War.

As the only ninjas from Konoha to survive their battle with the Amegakure’s Hanzo, it would be the last time the three came together in battle, with each going their separate ways due to the intense rivalry they shared. Things become especially heated between Orochimaru and Jiraiya, mirroring the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke. Their rivalry added more depth to their characters and their competitive nature often pushed them to their limits leading to their growth over time.

The Three Sanin Were Renowned for Strength and Ability

The Sannin underwent rigorous training during their time with Hiruzen Sarutobi, and it made them some of the most elite and skilled ninjas in the history of the Hidden Leaf Village. Because of their elite ninja prowess, each of the three Sannins has been considered strong enough to take on the role of Hokage during their time, although only one ever actually assumed the role.

After their mentor Hiruzen decided to retire from his role as the Third Hokage, Orochimaru applied to take on the role, but his master chose Minato Namikaze — Naruto’s father — instead, citing that Orochimaru didn’t understand what it meant to take on such an important role. After the death of Naruto’s father, Hiruzen wanted Jiraiya to become the Fifth Hokage. Jiraiya was actually offered the role but declined, saying the prestigious duty should go to Tsunade instead.

With all three Sannins being powerful ninjas capable of being the Hidden Leaf Village’s Hokage, ranking them by strength is no easy task. Each of the Sannins were amazingly strong in their own unique ways, and all three cared for each other despite their differences. That said, by the end of Shippuden, one of the Sannins proved to be the strongest. By analyzing their unique strengths, the ranking specifies who among the three stands out, not only in terms of power but also their influence on key events.
