Satoru Gojo may be one of the most interesting Shonen characters released in years. From his excellent design of bright blue eyes, striking white hair, and charming voice work done by all of the voice actors to his personal gripes and loneliness that come with being the world’s strongest Sorcerer. Since his debut, he’s ranked #1 in popularity polls inside and outside Jujutsu Kaisen, which has sparked a debate about what anime characters he can defeat.
This debate was sparked by Satoru Gojo’s cursed techniques: Limitless and the Six Eyes. Two powerful abilities in Jujutsu Kaisen create a technique that no normal fighter can bypass when combined and used efficiently. A technique that relies on complicated math processes and scientific theory. There’s a reason why Satoru Gojo is the strongest, and it’s because he can use the following cursed techniques to their fullest.
Satoru Gojo’s Limitless, Explained
Gojo’s most prominent technique is the Limitless. A tecnhnique inherited by the Gojo clan it grants Gojo the ability to contorl and maniupulate space at an atomic level. This manifests in four key ways, a lapse in blue, the reverse of red the combination of the two for purple, and the overall infinity that seperates Gojo from others.
Infinity is the neutral form of Limitless, commonly seen as the stopping of objects that approach Gojo. However, the truth is that it simply slows the object down so considerably it only looks like it’s stopping. Gojo uses this as an ever-present automatic barrier around himself. Whenever an object approaches Gojo, it doesn’t hit Gojo. Instead, it hits the infinity between Gojo and the world. This technique causes the Achilles and the Tortoise paradox, which is the idea that in a footrace, the quickest runner can never overtake the slowest if the slowest is given a headstart. Infinity makes it so that no matter how fast or hard something is going, it will not touch Satoru due to the infinity between them.
Blue is the positive application of Limitless; Gojo amplifies the Limitless with negative cursed energy, causing a vacuum in space. This vacuum lets Gojo force the world to correct itself and attempt to fill in the negative space, causing matter to be pulled together. Gojo is pulling matter to a location of his choosing. Gojo uses this to create a black hole in the palm of his hand, generating extremely destructive qualities in the attack.
