A new anime series by Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 director Sunghoo Park, also widely known for directing Ninja Kamui and The God of High School, is set to take the stage in 2025.
The release window for the upcoming Bullet/Bullet was recently announced as part of the Disney Content Showcase 2024, held on Nov. 21 (SGT) at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Set to premiere in the summer of 2025, Bullet/Bullet will stream exclusively on Disney+, with a key visual, action-packed trailer and staff listing — described by Japanese news outlet Oricon as a “gathering of masters” — all now revealed for the first time.

Bullet/Bullet is being scripted by Aki Kindaichi, also known for the upcoming series composition of Uma Musume Cinderella Gray. Meanwhile, Hunter x Hunter, Trigun, and Overlord character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu is likewise in charge of character design for Bullet/Bullet, as well as taking on the role of chief animation director. Mecha anime artist Hidetaka Tenjin (Hellsing Ultimate, Gundam Evolve) is handling mechanical concept artwork and design, while Fire Emblem and Initial D director Shin Misawa is in the driver’s seat as car action director.
Park, who also wrote the original Bullet/Bullet story, shared his delight at the series finally nearing its premiere. “I’m very happy that what I felt 10 years ago has now become film. I want everyone to watch the growth story of the main character Gear, and I want everyone to enjoy the music, the voice actors’ acting, and especially the car action this time. I’m excited to be able to work with the staff I personally admire. Bullet/Bullet is filled with strong feelings! I hope you will enjoy it. Go ahead!” E&H Production, which he founded, will animate the series.
Bullet/Bullet follows Park’s latest Ninja Kamui series, which Adult Swim VP Jason DeMarco described as a success. On X (formerly Twitter), he said, “[Cartoon] Network and Max are thrilled with Season 1” and “Toonami is doing well and both the network and our bosses are happy with our ratings and the performance of our original series!” While Ninja Kamui producer Sola Entertainment indicated a second season earlier this summer, DeMarco quickly walked this back, saying no such announcement had been made.
Bullet/Bullet‘s new trailer was joined by several other Disney anime announcements, including the first look at Disney’s Twisted Wonderland anime, a CAT’S EYE anime reboot, Wandance‘s premiere in 2025 and the licensing of Medalist in select regions. Disney also recently announced that nine Japanese studios will participate in the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Season 3.
