MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation of the hit Shonen Jump franchise has revealed an all-new look at the upcoming sequel, giving fans a taste of what’s to come for the upcoming “Culling Game” arc featuring Yuji.
Fans watching Jump Festa 2025’s Red Stage got their first look at the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen sequel, adapting the “Culling Game” storyline. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether this will take the form of a Season 3 or a film. The new visual showcases Yuji in an ominous red setting; a new visual for an upcoming “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc compilation film, which has a release date for May 30, 2025, was likewise released. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 director Shota “Gosso” Goshozono is expected to return as director for the sequel, with his helming of the most recent season receiving praise amid a turbulent production schedule. Crunchyroll streamed the first two seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen and the film prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The film’s lead character, Yuta Okkotsu, arrived at the end of Season 2, ominously threatening to kill Yuji himself. Fans can pick the series up where the anime left off in Volume 17, licensed by VIZ in North America and officially described: “Hunted down by Okkotsu and on the brink of death, Itadori recalls a troubling family scene from his past.
