Most characters in the world of My Hero Academia are born with a single Quirk, but All For One is an entirely different matter with his own Quirk of the same name. He was born into the early era of Quirks, back when few people understood or appreciated these supernatural gifts, and All For One made the most of that confusing era. He had the ability to transfer Quirks between people, including himself, and no one in his era could stop him from abusing his remarkable ability.
Over many decades, All For One amassed an incredible number of stolen Quirks to use. It’s impressive not just that he has so many Quirks, but that his body can withstand the strain of having so many superpowers at once, making him a one-man army who has defeated a succession of One For All users. This is a perfect time for My Hero Academia fans to review this All For One’s best Quirks as he prepares to finish the fight against the pro heroes in the anime’s upcoming 8th season.
Rivet Stab was one of the first offensive Quirks that All For One was ever seen using in the anime, and it’s one of many Quirks that Tomura Shigaraki also used with his own version of the All For One Quirk. Rivet Stab forms a number of thick, dark tendrils from the user’s fingers or spine, all with veins of glowing red energy in them, and those tendrils may impale a target to deal serious piercing damage. It is unclear if the tendrils can be used in other ways, such as forming a defensive web with them or sweeping them across the battlefield like a club.
Rivet Stab’s tendrils are durable, but they can be shattered if someone strikes them with enough force, as Deku once did with the power of One For All. Also, Rivet Stab can be used in non-harmful ways if the wielder intends to, such as when All For One harmlessly impaled Magne with it to channel the Quirk that forces someone’s own Quirk to activate.
As manga readers have already seen, Spearlike Bones actually has a special place in All For One’s Quirk collection, even if he doesn’t necessarily feel sentimental about it. This is the oldest Quirk ever seen in the series, with it belonging to All For One’s own mother, who manifested that Quirk about one year before the glowing newborn in China marked the beginning of the Quirk era. Spearlike Bones is aptly named, allowing the user to grow conical, sharp spears of bone from anywhere on their body, even from their mouth if desired.
All For One stole that Quirk from his mother, eventually gave it to a man who wanted a new Quirk, then took back Spearlike Bones at some point. All For One was seen using this ability on his Quirk-enhanced right arm while fighting his nemesis All Might in Kamino Ward, and he manifested it in the anime’s 7th season as he obtained his younger form.
