Synopsis
This anime tells the story of Frieren (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki), an elf wizard who was once a member of a heroic group that defeated the Demon King. The group consists of Frieren, Himmel, Eisen (a skilled dwarf warrior), and Heiter (a human priest).
Before they parted ways, they gathered to watch the Meteor Era, a meteor shower that decorates the sky once every fifty years. Frieren vows to meet again in the next Meteor Age, embarking on a journey around the world in search of magical knowledge.
Frieren’s Odyssey After Everything
Frieren returned to the capital fifty years later. However, humanity has changed, and his friends are getting older. After his last adventure seeing a meteor shower, Himmel died of old age.
While at the funeral, Frieren expresses his guilt for not trying to find out more about Himmel. He then visited another former colleague.
Frieren also agrees to look after Fern, an orphan Heiter adopted. The elf also began to travel north to reunite with Himmel. Accompanied by Fern, Frieren embarks on this journey while continuing his magical studies.
