The Witch and The Beast Anime Will Be Released in January 2024! – The Witch and The Beast anime is finally a reality. The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kōsuke Satake’s “The Witch and the Beast” manga has just released a teaser trailer.
The trailer can be watched with English subtitles, and the video reveals the main cast, production staff, and the broadcast schedule in January 2024.
The anime will feature Yō Taichi as Guideau and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Ashaf. Meanwhile, the studio working on this anime is Yokohama Animation Laboratory.
Under the direction of Takayuki Hamana (Sorcerous Stabber Orphen), the anime was produced by Yokohama Animation Lab. Meanwhile, the characters in the anime were designed by Hiroya Iijima (Afro Samurai).
Sinopsis Anime The Witch and the Beast
The story of “The Witch and the Beast” tells of Guideau, a wild girl with long fangs and animal-like eyes.
He meets Ashaf, a soft-spoken man who always carries a coffin on his back.
They arrive in a village ruled by a wizard who has managed to convince the villagers that he is their hero.
But in truth, Ashaf and Guideau knew that wasn’t true. They had personal matters to attend to, and they weren’t afraid to take on anyone who got in their way.
About the Manga
The manga “The Witch and the Beast” written by Satake was first published in Kodansha’s Young Magazine the 3rd in November 2016. Then in 2021, the manga moved to Monthly Young Magazine.
Some time ago, this manga went on hiatus for 2 months at the end of January 2023 due to health problems that occurred with Kosuke Satake.
Outside of Japan, Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing an English-language version of the manga. The 10th volume was released on February 28, and the 11th volume will be released on October 10.
